Anybody knows who may carry barrel for Savage 64B? I checked Numrich but they do not have one. Or maybe they do have but listed under other models? And if anybody knows - what are other 22 rifles that may share the same barrel or can be easily machined to fit? I have lathe at my disposal. I know, nobody fixes 64's, they are somewhat disposable but I still ike fixing things that worked well for me. Maybe I am just getting old.

I'm sure a 10/22 barrel has enough meat to turn down the neck and make it slide in the receiver, cut a small slot in the side and drill a hole for the extractor. Then a slot for the U barrel retaining clip.No idea where the headspacing would come out but it would be a good, cheap alternative if you can't find a replacement.

Numrich lists it under Winchester/Cooey 64b but they won't ship them here, that's what they told me when i tried to order one

cooey/winchester/lakefiel/mossberg/savage 64b all the same.i've got a 64 or 64a barrel here i can't use 'cause the ejector slot on the left side of the barrel needs to be machined longer and i think the chamber area is a tad larger than the 64b.the old 64's used a spring ejector as the newer ones use a solid stamped ejector.let me know if you're interested in it...
