Thinking about scoping my daughters 64G. It has a 3/8 dovetail and isn't drilled and tapped. A little bit of googling revealed a couple of mounts I like, but I can't find on this side of the border. One is DIP, the other EGW. There's nothing listed at Kinneys for the DIP mount and I haven't found a source for the EGW. I briefly considered the dovetail to picatinny adapter mounts, but all the ones I found seem to place the rail fairly high and keeping everything lower is usually better. Anything else I haven't thought of?

Why not just use the dovetail with rings?
The only problem I have with the rings for the dovetail is finding a decent set. I was trying to find a set for a lad I work with for his rifle and between the two of us there was bugger all in the area. All we managed to find was a set of Kwik(sp?)Sites. Not a fan of those see under rings. Not sure I want to get it drilled and tapped, but that may be an option.
