I was just looking at the Savage 64FVXP Package 22LR and this one caught my eye. Is there anyone out there that has one and could tell how the package works against gophers? How is the scope? Are they not worth it just buy the rifle. How it ranks with the other 22lr semi autos?

For a heavy barrel gopher gun, they work great but you should buy without the 4x scope and invest in at least a 3x9x scope. The gun is very accurate and certainly capable to do some long precision shooting.

Package scopes are generally poor.
