Savage 93, 17 HMR high cap mags? Can I buy/make them?

Could you not order the magazine from Savage? A family member who has the 17HMR bolt gun I believe ordered 10 rounders from the factory, but I will check. I am in the States if that makes any difference on exportation from Savage across the border.

Savage says they do not make a 10 round 17hmr mag.
If you can order them let me know who to talk to and I will order a bunch and get them up here.

as mentioned Savage does not make a 10 round mag, and yes Savage can ship across the border no problems there
 
If someone has the set up or the connection to do it....


I think 10-20 rounders would be a big hit! even at 30-40 a piece they would sell

I want as well - sent the company an e-mail just now - hope these are available in stainless to go with my BSEV

update - got a reply within 1 hour. My question was ;I want the 2 10rd mags for the savage 22mag - when will these be available? do you ship to canada? and do these come is stainless ?

there reply was;We have them in Black Oxide not in Stainless. At this time there is not enough demand for Stainless

no mention if in stock or shipping to canada - as for the stainless -- there nutz, between canada and the USA there must be a market for 10's of thousands of these

I don't think they will ship the completed mag, but the kit only, same thing only it's in pieces and we have to assemble.

As for the color who cares, you can always go and pray paint it silver, or have them chromed, just for the hell of it, I have 2 in black and 2 in stainless of the 5 rounders, the color for me don't matter as long as they function properly.
 
It was made before, they ran out of stock, and have just started up again...

this was the email I got from them

Yeah...my inquiry was May.26, think I got the same bulk-email you did. Don't want to see my cash sit in limbo for months, so I'd like to see where they're at with the initial orders first.
 
they actually called me today - nice personal touch and said they will ship tomorrow -- great follow-up.
I'll have to follow up when I get them and run a few hundred rds thru them - only really need one so look for the second on on EE along with some new OEM savage 5rd Stainless ones :)
 
Any updates on these? Would love to hear from someone in Canada who has them (or the kits) in hand. How did it go, easy to assemble...photos???
 
Nothing? :confused: Want to hear that they're getting here/functioning great before I take the plunge. Any input would be great.
