I went to install a scope on my Savage 93.
It has the factory bases. I tried a set of Burris Signature rings but had a bit of an issue.The bases were too narrow to fit properly with my rings, the rings couldn't make up the difference with the pressure from the screw.I could have bent them manually but then the amount of movement would have put the screw hole at an angle to the opposing threaded side of the ring not allowing the screw to thread.
I wound up using a set of Warne vertical split rings which worked but not the way I liked and a bit of overkill for a 17HMR.
Has anybody ran into this issue ?
