Hey guys!
I just went and picked up a Savage Model 93 FV .22 Mag from Lebarons.
This is my first rimfire, and my first rifle actually (in my hands, there is a .270 on the way
). To be honest, I rushed the purchase way to much, I had to be somewhere else at a certain time so I rushed it unfortunately. The 93 FV I have has noticeable marks on the top of the face of the bolt, along with what might even be a small chip? I will take a picture later today to show. I really should have asked for another gun, because I later found out that they had several of that make and model =( This one was probably the one they showed to customers or something.
Anyhow, my real issue is: The bolt. It cycles horribly. its jerking lifting it up, relatively smooth sliding back, but then sliding forward it always gets stuck a few cm in, unless I do it all in forceful motions, then everything runs smoothly. This is my first bolt that I've cycled, so perhaps I was expecting more, but I did expect some kind of gentle, smooth motion to it :/
Is there anything that I kind do about this? polish the bolt? I will have to look at it again to take it out.
All sales are final at lebaron, so I supposed I am stuck with this gun unless I want to sell it again. Will the bolt smooth out?
Thanks
