Well ladies and gentlemen i finally located a 17 hmr today and bought it. I have been waiting to find one in left hand for a long time. So all of you lefty's out there, there are 2 of the same rifles left at Cabelas/SIR.

ps you should check the store out it got a major face lift and have some really cool trophies in the shop now. It is a total different lay out. They did a pretty good job in their.

I also have the same rifle (right hand, GV). The action feels a bit rough. Other than that, it's a great value for the money. I haven't been able to test it yet but I'm sure it shoots good.

When I bought mine from SIR a few weeks ago, they had TEN 93R17 GLV's...must be plenty of us lefties looking for this rifle out there. Great rifle, BTW...especially for the price. I have a 6.5-20x50AO on it, and I couldn't be happier. The action is okay, but I find I have to "cradle" the mag while chambering a round or else it doesn't feed properly. Oh well...
 
what kind of scope, power, and rings are you guys putting on these rimfires
i am kind of having a toss up between powers of scope but i have no idea what kind i should put on it
 
Mine wears a 6.5-20x50AO because it's hard to see .17 cal holes even at 50 yards. :) (My .22LR wears the same scope also.)
 
Barska for now...I've been pretty happy with them so far. The target dot reticle is kind of nice. I'll probably transfer the Nikon 6-18x over when I get a lower power scope on the .30-06 because I don't really need a high magnification for that gun.
