Anyone know the last year it came with the gold trigger?

I thought the gold trigger was kept right up to the last year of production, which I think was about 1997.

Mine from the 50's does not have a gold trigger.

I should doubt yours is a c- the c is the DETACHABLE CLIP model, which surfaced in late 60's-early 70's. mine is a 73 or so vintage and it has different checkering, gold trigger, jewelled bolt\( till some nimrod took it off when refinishing it) and a monte carlo stock- read cheekpiece- the front sight was a ramp style with no hood and a patridge type folding on the rear- it's called a c-dl, model a- the other 99 that was marketed at the time was a 99e, which was a bare-bones model, with the rotary magazine, no checkering( although I have seen some models with) hooded front sight, ladder rear( you have to move the ladder to adjust the sight- with the folder, you just loosen 2 screws) Schnabel forend, and a straight stock - it should be noted the c model also had a "pistol " grip
