Savage 99F .308 value

Hi,

An elderly friend wants to sell his Savage 99F in .308. He wants to know approx. value. He claims he hasn't fired it much; however, if it's like the winchester ranger he sold to a friend of mine, there will be considerable rust and pitting on the outside of the firearm. He has a nasty habit of storing them in zipped gun sheaths.

Considerable rust = maybe $300. In very nice gondition possibly $600.
