I've made the same comment in a few threads on here regarding the A17/A22...I have the target sporter, heavy barrel, laminate stock without the thumbhole. I love the size, weight and feel of the rifle, it doesn't feel cheap. Based on how my Bmag felt with the plastic stock, I'm sure a plastic stocked A17 would feel craptacular. I've got probably 350ish rounds out of mine, 4 magazines total, and zero stoppages, I've yet to clean the action. I'm a lefty and I have to wear eye protection, I feel a lot of crap hitting my face when I shoot, even with glasses on it's a bit of a peppering. A couple weekends ago, I was checking zeros and went to pick up my brass, 30-40 feet to the side LOL I've shot regular Hornady VMax ammo, as well as the A17 and have kept with the A17. The rifle did well in the initial 50 yard testing I did with it and did a more extensive test at 100. I shot five, 5 shot groups and averaged 1.03" off a bipod. For sure minute of critter for most situations. Given its reliability and accuracy, it's my go to for varmints around my property.
