I will be purchasing a inexpensive bolt action .22 rifle in the near future. I am considering Savage and Marlin rifles. What I am looking for are opinions on the Savage AccuTrigger and Marlin’s T-900 trigger. Which trigger do you prefer and why? Thanks.

i have only used the accu trigger on a 12FV 204. its nice.

i do have a savage 93 22 mag pro accu trigger. i like the gun, but the magazine is really tricky to get in and locked in place. it makes me mad and paranoid that it will drop out in the bush and get lost.

just another thing to compare between the 2.

Accutrigger :)

Have the T-900, and IMHO, it is not an improvement over their first trigger.

My T-900 came about 5 pounds in pull weight from the factory, and although I do not have the accutrigger I did try one out a couple weeks ago and it was closer to about 2 1/2 lbs.

My T-900 is down to about 2.5 pounds now, but it did require taking the trigger apart and changing a few things. Accutrigger is better from the factory then T-900 IMO

I have both and have put them through a good testing.

Savage. Trigger is miles superior and accuracy is very good. To get the marlin to do the same you would need to put a rifle basix trigger into it.

I don't like gadgets. We survived for years with plain jane triggers, and that's where my alegance lies. Call me old fashioned or ignorant, but I like the feel of a simple trigger, (Unlike the Savage) made out of metal, not plastic (Unlike the Marlin)
