Your BV is older. All new savages produced after 2008-2009 ish have the newer "e-receiver". The trr-SR is the newer type, it's a standardized action used in the .22lr and magnum rimfires.

As for what to do with it... I don't know. Check the distance between the action pillars. I think the new ones are slightly further apart. I'd probably sell it and get the proper stock. Inletting can be a pain to get right, and it should be as close to perfect as possible. But that's me...

Yep your TRR-SR is the new E-receiver, and your BV is the older style. I do believe Mikey was right and that the actions screws on the E-reciever are a little further apart (based on old threads I have read, no actual experience with the olders style). Inletting can definitely be pain, but if you've got the skills and tools or a friend that does, go for it. Otherwise, looks like you may need to look into a different stock

Some punctuation would go a long way towards making the OP readable.

As for the stock, it may be worth just selling it and getting one that fits from the start, especially if the action screw spacing is not correct. If you don't want to sell it, fitting it is simply a matter of removing all the wood that is in the way, then bedding it.

Who made the stock and what model is it? I put an older pre-accutrigger Mk.II action into a Boyds thumbhole stock and had no trouble with it, even though it was advertised as inletted for the E model.

Why does it have that round piece on that wider part. I don't know what model of stock I have but it is cut out for that round part on the older mark 2.

I don't know what the extra knob is for. If the stock is inletted for it, what doesn't fit? I had to remove a bit of wood for the safety on my rifle, but that is all that was required to fit the old action into the new stock.

The part that does not fit is where what seems to be a sleave over the barrel but the stock does have that round peace drilled into it but is not inletted for the sleave i am removing some wood so it fits. I did check out the hole spacing for rhe reciver bolts and it is the same as the trr-sr.

That is not too bad, nothing a dowel and sandpaper can't fix. I had to open the barrel channel on mine, too, but that was because I was using a much heavier barrel than the original Savage piece.

I forgot to say that i still have to do some work on the mag plate it seems to be a bit farther back than the new e-receiver. How ever the bolt holes were the same spacing all i have to do is remove a little metal on the rear of the plate where it touches the mag.
