i know how much you guys like pics so im gonna show off my savage arms mark 2 that i have been modding... so far with the iron sights i can get a 1.5 inch group at 25 yards... that sucks i know, but i dont have great eyes and these sights really suck... now i have added a nc star bi-pod with a weaver rail, weaver scope mounts, burris scope rings, tasco varmit/target 2.5-10x42 scope with illuminated mil dot reticle, butler creek flip open scope cover and a SS savage arms 5 round mag... here is a pic of the day i got it home...

im bringing it to the range tonight and seeing how much better i can get my groups :D so ill post up some pics of the targets and what not... so more mods and more pics comming :D let me know what you think, thanks :D

I like it, very similar to my 93R17. If you like the look/feel of them check out TACPRO (I think thats what its called) cheek rest. Mystic Precision sells them for 50 bucks, really adds to it.

How's the cheek weld as is? I would guess lousy at best based on the pics, it looks like you could rest your chin on the stock and still look through the scope. Perhaps the image is decieving.

Here's mine, i just got it on friday, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

I've got an old bushnell 3-9 i may put on it, i'm sure that the gun is more capable than a 4X will allow. I find the cheek weld on mine is not too bad, but i'd like the scope to be lower yet, like 1/2".

Perhaps i need to look into the cheek peice too!

Finally found your scope :D Good choice triple tap, same scopes as you on both Savage Mark II I have. One don't have illuminated reticule. Both are working great at 100 yards at the range. I want to shoot them at 200, but I want a spotting scope first :D

Looks great, I'm really looking forward to buying myself some tacticool .22 "snipers", always had a thing for bolt actions.

after a few rounds of sighting it in i got a few good hits... i need to work on my breathing and working my eye so it will stop twitching after 10 min of shooting... i had a hard time with these targets cause my eye and cheek was twitching away and shaking lol... but i gave it my best shot :p bad pun :D

the tape was gonna be for sighting it in but never shot on them lol...

two of my better shots before my eye started going crazy while sighting it in...

i kind of want a hight zoom scope like a 4-16 but i dont know yet... ill give it a while longer before i go and buy another one lol...

all shot at 25 yards indoors...

Nice build. I'm ordering one as soon as I sell some stocks next month.

How do you like the feel of the synthetic stock? I thought it would be a bit light so I was thinking of getting the laminate.

thanks for the kind words everyone :D my shooting it getting better, i am getting better at my breathing and i have figgured out a way to shoot with both eyes open when i want so i can shoot longer before my eye starts to twitch lol... ill post up some pics of my targets later when i get some time...
