Savage asks what would you like us to build next?

the 99 in STAINLESS, 308, ROTARY mag-with a SYNTHETIC stock-ie a foul weather version

They will probably bring back the 99 lever with knox stock vertical forend grip a huge flash hider and rails for the new age tactical look.

Bringing back their combination guns might be fun, especially if they had a couple centerfire options along with rimfires. They're probably looking for "never been done before" answers though, rather than a return to the past.

No 99's!

Boo-urns.

1. 110 / 10 with METAL furniture, wood stocked NOT TUPPERWARE clip fed 30-30 bolt. Not sold as a package with some $hit simmons or tasco scope

2....and a solemn promise that they not "mossberg" any of their lines with useless mall ninja tacticooling.

That would be the model 14-114, except not offered in 30-30

The return of the .425 Express chambering, in a stainless/laminate 24-inch barreled hunting rig.

A stainless scout rifle.

And, of course, a box-magazine levergun, preferably in a takedown version...an alternative to the BLR.

How about...a matte black, all Titanium metalwork Model 99 with the internal rotary magazine, Kevlar stock w/Decelerator pad, Ashley style rear peep (but drilled & tapped for scope mounting) barrel band front blade with Ivory bead, sling swivels (barrel band front swivel) and available in .358Win, .375Hawk and .450 Alaskan! Retail for under $3000 and they wouldn't be able to keep up with the demand.

Ok, I'll bite - 7.62x39 over 12ga Model 24. Lots of ammo availability in both cartridges. Big enough to knock down something big; small enough to fill the pot. And, make it a completely collapsable survival rifle in synthetic, stainless and two parts. They already have the barrel geometry for a .30cal bore, just needs a different extractor and chamber.
