Savage Axis .223~anybody care to share some load data?

Hey guys, I don't own one of these...but my nephew does. I'm going to be getting the gun from him soon, and am wondering if anyone has any load data for this rifle they'd like to share? I've had it shooting MOA with my own hand loads, and with factory Hornady 55gr. V-Max...but no results that really "wowed" me. I shoot a Savage 10 (Accustock) "precision carbine" in .223, and I have that right where I want it accuracy wise. Haven't had enough time with the Axis to sort it out, but I'd like to get some stuff ready in advance, and can tweak things once close.

PS~this gun is a groundhog-shooter primarily, might get the nod for coyote.
 
A sub $500 rifle that shoots MOA and we aren't wowed.

Not saying it can't be improved on, but MOA out of a bottom shelf budget rifle is pretty amazing in terms of firearms capability throughout history.
 
Don’t just do it without working up to it but 21.4gr of d4198 and a 50gr tnt are warm and shoot well. Imr 4198 data goes up to 21.9gr but I’m getting tiny bit flat primer and little bit of cratering. Nothing crazy though but if I want any more out of it, I’ll shoot whatever it is with my .243.

^I agree 100%, but I am looking to improve on it. If I owned it and had some real trigger time with it, I'd have never asked the question on here. The gun is a shooter, but my own Savage can punch 1-ragged-hole groups at the same distance when I'm on the ball and I'm curious to see how close I can get with his Axis.

^hey HTH~no, I don't. I only remember that you suggested I try 53gr. and indeed, they showed a slight edge over the 55gr...so that's my #1 bullet for letting the air out of groundhogs. Does that job admirably.
