Well that's a rip.... The 93 rimfire I got came with steel bases.

Yeah, Im trying to replace my bases with a full length rail, but finding one that wont cost $20-30 in shipping is proving difficult...

Bases and rings are aluminum. The screws for each are steel.

Just wanted to update this, but my recent Axis in 7mm-08 came with steel bases...nice surprise

There is definitely some thing to be said about those accurate little canoe paddles lol mine shoots moa or minute of shotshell hull with umc yellow box every time I dust it off after bouncing around under my truck seat for months at a time and I have never had to touch the scope since I set it.

Just picked up a Tasco 6x24 mildot scope off EE. Super cheap, in keeping with the gun. Will make it easier to snag those coyotes hiding in the hedge rows. I considered upgrading the stock and trigger but this is one rifle I am going to restrain myself on. I usually go all crazy squeezing the last ounce of accuracy out of any firearm I have ever owned. This one is just going to be for plinking and pest control. Might even get my sweetie to give it a go.

It's nice to see you can still get a decent gun on the cheap.
