Savage AXIS in 223 rem

Shot around 100 rounds out of mine this weekend. Never missed a beat. Didn't find the trudger heavy at all. All in all very good buy

is the price difference between the axis and 111fcxp3 worth it? im not sure if i should go for the 111 or the axis

I own both. In my opinion, the 111 is worth it. It's much higher quality, has a metal mag release and an adjustable trigger.

mkrainc, where did you order you .223 from?? I've been looking for one and haven't been able to find any around..

Ellwood Epps was where I purchased mine. Prairie Gun Traders has a couple of them also. I found Epps had the best price, plus I've dealt with them before.

E Epps may be out of them for now, but call them anyway. They may get more.

Well, I made it to the range today with the Axis. It did what you might have expected. It did out-shoot me. Too bad all I had was one box of factory loaded ammo. I love the gun. When I can muster better groups, I'll update again with pictures.

Great guns...I had one and my buddy still has his, both in .223Rem. We shoot pop cans all day at 200 and 300 yards. The only thing I dislike was the trigger...but apperently you can get a trigger kit for them now.
