Savage Axis LH

CZs are real easy to get leftie. I have a CZ452 and CZ527 both in leftie and 2 CZ85 pistols that are ambi. My Ruger 30-06 ss is a leftie too but I also shoot a bunch of leverguns including an 1886 saddle ring carbine 45/70 and a Savage 99C in 308. Got a BSA Matini 22 as well as a 9422. There is some ambi stuff out there like the 99s and Browning BPS 12ga pump. A quick follow up shot may well depend on how fast you can slam in another round so it makes sense to me if you are full bore leftie they you should hunt with something you can operate quickly.
FWIW I tried several times to get a leftie Savage and was told 6mos to 2 years. 2-5 days for CZs.

Just checking out the specs and I noticed it doesn't have the Accutrigger, what sort of difference does that make?? I've never owned a Savage bolt action so I'm unfamiliar with the Accutrigger.
Love seeing new Lefty models coming out though, I finally got a brand new Lefty Browning Bar 30-06 a month or so ago my first pure lefty rifle... :)

The Accutrigger has a little lever in the middle of the trigger same as a Glock handgun. I think its savage's attempt at teaching the enduser trigger control??you take up the slack in the lever for a clean trigger pull. Personally I see no need for it. I think its just a gimmick myself. I have shot guns both with and without it. I prefer the savage without the Accutrigger. For the money these are some of the most accurate rifles out there. I would also like to own a browning lefty some day too but alas so many guns and so little wallet. Cheers,

T

The accutrigger has a built in "accurelease" (the extra trigger shoe)
It's purpose is to prevent the sear from being released if the rifle is dropped or bumped hard.
This it does quite well.
It also allows the owner to easily adjust the trigger pull.
I personally have found it to be a great system, AT THE RANGE.
In the hunting fields under adverse weather conditions however it has twice failed me miserably.
Just a little fyi.
