Anyone have any idea where to get them? I've searched high and low and can't find them. I'm looking to pick up a few in 223 remington

I believe the Savage Axis uses the same magazine as the 111 series, if that helps. I managed to find a spare for my Savage 111 in 30-06 in the bargain cave at Cabelas, it was labelled as a Savage Axis magazine, but I'd seen previously that they were the same. Works great. Because it was in the bargain cave, it was pretty cheap too, around $25.

All I know is that the Axis uses a plastic release while the 111 uses a metal one. Are you saying the plastic one works on the metal? I wouldn't mind going the other way and using the metal bottom one on on Axis. The metal bottom ones feel a lot nicer than that plastic crappy bottom that the Axis has.

My 111 has a plastic bottomed magazine, and is identical to the one I found labelled for the Savage Axis. I guess I didn't realize that the 111 models could vary so much, I should have been more specific. Mine is a 111 International Trophy Hunter XP.
