Savage Axis question

Hi, I have a Savage Axis .223 and I want to change my scope mounts(2 shorts ones) for a picatinny rail. When looking on-line I see rails for short and for long actions. Which one is the savage axis?

Whether it be a .223 or 30-06, Savage Axis are all long actions.

The axis (all of them .223-.270 does not matter) are all long action. Last I heard mystic precision had some. They are in bc and a site sponsor

choose a good base and rings like the leupold trw series STEEL OVER ALUMINUM any day

I dont think the rings, bases and scope that come on the axis is that bad. My 223 is as it came and shoots .5-1" at 100 yards with the right load
