Savage axis stock options?

Just an update to my own thread, found someone on Youtube who, with little effort, fit an axis to a BSA CF2 target stock aquired through Numrich Gun Parts. Look decent and only costs 41.50, stocks come unfinished with adjustable butt plate and target channel fore-end. Would require some tinkering to fit a mag but looks like fun!

I just checked that out............to bad it was a long action axis mated to that stock, it would have been a nice winter project for a short action. I may just have to sell the axis and go back to vandalizing steven's 200's in my spare time, at least those stocks are easy for me to make

I was under the impression that all axis actions were the same length, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I am sorry, hopefully all of the children relying on you will understand. I am ordering a stock to start tinkering, I've already sold the troublesome children as a warning to behave!

the stock is really the only complaint I have with the axis, i've been on the hunt for a new one aswell.

we will be doing lunch verrrry soon freddy...........oh and you can see the stock from numerich first hand when I gets me paws on it. I forgot your still playing with one, I will let you know how much work is involved, however I am going to pull my barrel again and install a recoil lug on the action between the action and the barrel nut......if the stock will allow for it.

We will have to figure something out, maybe in the new year,
Defenatly looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with those stocks, I'm not a huge fan of them but the price is right.
