Nope, it's not the best rifle in the world, but if you're on a budget and are looking for something decent, this may just work for you as it did for me.

Aside from the stock flex, the number one complaint is the trigger. Well, for about $1 and a half hour, you can cut its pull weight in half and remove the side to side slop.

This one is currently shooting 3/4" 5 shot groups at 100 yards with cheap AE FMJ ammo.

Thanks for watching!

Hey thanks for posting, I am looking to do this to my axis as well.

Your right it's not the best rifle in the world but it is a pretty damn good blend of quality, value, and functionality.

I am sure there will be a bazillion of these guns around in the next coming years with plenty of aftermarket customization options.

Great vid mmatt.
I will definitley try this method out. I recently did the other method (off youtube) by shortening the spring one loop.
This brought it down from 7+ lbs to 3.5lbs
(I liked your "Hog Hunter" vid too, might have to pick one up in .308 ;) )

I don't have a Savage Axis but it was still good to watch this clip. I enjoy learning about how firearms and the various mechanisms work. Thanks.
