I'm surprised there isn't more talk about their budget rifle around here. The ones I have seen have been pretty nice IMHO.

I would expect the Ruger to be better, as it's $130 more than the Axis.

But before spending any money in the future I would look into how available are replacement mags and cost of such etc between the two.

Well I walked out with ruger in 270 for $436 mags are $27
I have owned both and the trigger is worlds better on the ruger not to mention the free stuff you get when you register it with them. Well worth the extra couple bucks
