Savage Axis XP?

Mine had a receiver that was not made level. The rear base required shimming and then I had to buy the signature Z-rings with the inserts to avoid damaging the scope tube. The scope that came from the factory had the elevation cranked and yet was still not hitting high enough. They let it leave the factory that way.

On the matter of single loading my axis feeds perfect in .308 however my 12fv in .223 will not single feed with the factory magazine. I think the fatter cartridges just have an easier time lining up with the chamber.

Like i said before these rifles do have a flimsy stock and after i purchased mine i saw a picture of one that was dropped and the stock had broken in two. With no aftermarket stocks available this made me cringe to think that guy will have to by another factory stock for over $100. That being said though I'm for sure going to pick another one up in 25-06 because at this boxing week price how can you afford not to? With the popularity of the edge/axis I'm sure Boyds will be making a stock for this rifle in the near future.
