Savage b.mag .17 Winchester Super Magnum

I usually pay 7.99/50 for my mach2- well worth the price for the results I always thought. I almost convinced myself to get the new WSM but bought another m2 instead
 
How are your results 150-200 yards? When I had a m2 at 200 it was a pattern not a group. Many bullets were hitting the target sideways.

My Cooper in 17mach2 doesn't have that issue, 100 yard groups run around 3/4", and 200 yard groups around 2" to 2-1/2", if it is quite calm. However, at 200 yards, the wind really moves them around.

I never considered the 17WSM. I did seriously consider the 17Hornet, but ended up going with a 20 Vartarg instead.
 
wow... I bought my son a CHEAP marlin model 917 Mach2, and that thing is like a fricken LAZER beam... lol. No kidding. at 75 yards it shoots 1/4".... it consistently out shoots my savage 93r17 bsev .17hmr.

on another note, I took the B.Mag out again yesterday, and just wanted to see if it was close sight in wise, as the first day the wind was a gazillion mph! Yesterday, it was much colder, but rather calm. I shot out of the cab of my work truck, using the window for a rest, so shooting conditions were far from ideal. I only did 7 shots too. heres what happened, at 100 yards. 4 shots were within 1.5", and three were basically through the same hole. so, there certainly is potential....

I need to wait for a real nice day, and get it on the bags. Then i'll see what its really capable of! if the three through the same hole weren't a "fluke", then ive got a winner here!
