Savage B22 precision

I only got to shoot mine two days on one weekend before they closed the range down. I liked it a lot, but I had to add a spring clip on the bolt in order to get reliable extraction. A spare spring clip from a MKII worked fine. Can't wait to try it with different type of amo. I only tried CCI Standard Velocity at 50 meter and it did not seem to like it as much as my MKII did. I will chip in again once I can go out and shoot.

I've shot mine a couple times here on the farm. At 25yds my 'range' is relatively protected and the rifle was shooting 1 hole groups, every time I tried 50yds the gusty unpredictably winds around the buildings made for larger than I wanted groups. Looking forward to a nice warm spring afternoon with no wind :d. The trigger in my B22 is superior to the trigger in my MK II. Shooting CCI SV in the B22 and MK II. As mb101 already mentioned (post#11) the safety is in an out of the way spot. I find the A22 & B22 magazines to be a little finicky and slow to reload. I tried a 25 round Butler Creek magazine, every time it hit/touched the lead sled it had a fail to feed jam, acts same way in A22. Finally got my 20MOA rail installed, it took a 5000 mile CP delivery Winkler, Manitoba>St. John's, Newfoundland>SW Ontario. Now the wait for a 'nice' day

Getting the scope dialed in, trying to hiding out of the wind between the shed and truck.

Dominion outdoors sell the egw rail for them in 20 moa.
The mags do get a lot easier with use, I just got some new ones and I have left them with 10 rounds in for 2 days to speed up the process. I couldn't get the 25 round mags to stay in so I didn't bother with them.
Hoping to get some CCI greentag through it in the next couple days, it was performing better than the CCI SV in the winter but I stopped using the ammo until it warmed up.

Can you tell me where you got that 20moa rail?

Tks

That's who I got my 20MOA rail from as well. They carry a fairly large selection of EGW rails.

Thank you guys, I have EGW rings and base on my MKII and they are great, I will contact Dominion to order some. Can't wait of the ranges to open again to try all the different amo types I have lined up for this new rifle.
