Savage barrel shank size help

Hi guys

I see some conflicting info online and I wanted to take it here to the experts..

I see some websites mention small shank and large shank for savage barrels and I see others mention standard and large..

Can I assume my standard shank barrel will fit on an action that states it requires a small shank?




Any info appreciated!

standard and small shank are the same thing, the only large shank actions out there are the target actions with the red accu-trigger blade, and the WSM cartridges

this might help, many are now the large shank version.
