I just picked up the base model Savage 93 in .17 hmr with the regular barrel. I was just wondering how big of a difference there is between the regualr barrel and the HB in terms of accuracy, barrel life etc.
The light barrel is just as accurate as a heavy barrel.
However, the heavy barrel vibrates less so usually is less ammo sensitive and heats slower so moves around less as you shoot.
