This is not a group buy, or an endorsement from me. I was asked if I was interested, and how many others would like to hear about this gun. Simply a referral to see the interest

I'm interested, but I'm curious as to if the stock is flimsy or not. I'd be even more interested if there were different buttstock options.

Fry, feel the same way and gave that feedback on the Savage board. Apparently, that design choice was in the works and isn't going to be changed anytime soon.

I am sure that it will come up as a real world complaint once the bling factor grows old.

The biggest problem is that any of the solid stocks are going to be too long of a pull when attached on that stub. A point I really tried to get across again to no avail.

It is what it is and will be interesting to see how it works out in real world shooting.

Wonder how that mag will be designed?

The price may depend on their order. Once they see the interest via email, they'll get the numbers out. I've been reading online, and I'd be guessing if I put out a price. Everything from 1.2K to 2K.

Pretty close suggested MSRP is $1900.00 US as was stated by the Savage Rep @ Shot it does use the new Center Feed mag system .overall quality is very good, rail system include .Stock is well built and extremely solid there are 2 different butt stocks assy available .1 has similar adjustments like the Tubb 2000 the other features a collapsible butt stock AKA m4 with a cheek piece.

Sure its ugly, but will it shoot?

That's the ONLY thing I care about... plus whether it will kick the crap out of me from being too small/light/short.

For the money, I'd just get a 12 F-Class. More my style; the BAS is a commando groupie gun, and likely not a 'precision' rifle anyway.

It will shoot as well as any other LE model. Some great, some not so great.

There will be a muzzle brake so recoil will be minimal.

Yes, it is definitely a bling machine designed for those that might hang laser designators and night vision equipment on their rifle when shooting clay pigeons at the range.

It will sell very well and Savage will move the bar again for what a primary manf can do. A good thing in many ways as selling any firearm helps keep the industry alive.

Unfortunately, for that type of pricing, I would rather build my own.
