Savage Bottom Metal question

I have a Model 10 target action (with top bolt release, 4.40 spacing). It has no magazine opening. I'm putting it into a stock that has a magazine cut out.
What options are there for bottom metal? I know there are DBM bottoms, but are there bottoms that would cover the whole opening?
TIA

DBMs, in general, are a pricey option - especially if you're not actually going to be using it as intended. There's also the frequent requirement for fitting, which would be a waste of effort...

It might be easier to find someone who's done a DBM conversion with the same screw spacing, and buy their unused OEM bottom metal and if they have the low capacity magazine from Savage that should fit as well. The four round magazines are usually flush with the bottom of the stock, so it would look relatively clean. You might be able to buy the bottom metal off of Savage; as long as you aren't buying an AICS DBM.

Probably the best looking option, would be to find someone who's a skilled woodworker and have them make up a block that would fit into the magazine opening.

I have a composite stock.

In that case a wood block might look a little... odd. Depending on the material, it may be feasible to make some sort of a patch though.

As for Western Gun Parts, I called them a month or so ago about a bolt part for a Savage; apparently they have next to no parts for Savage rifles. Something to do with it being hard to get parts from Savage.
