I have a Savage model 11 in .243. Has a black synthetic stock. I really like the gun for coyote huning and definately don't want to part with it. Does Savage have factory camo stocks for these rifles. If so i might start looking for one. Find a takeoff stock from someone maybe. No point in searching if it doesn't exist though. I had looked at haveing Cobra imaging dip the stock but it would be like $200 but he time its over which just isn't worth it for this gun. please don't suggest painting it. Thtas not an option I want to go with. So, are they out there?

I would say check the boyd stock website, they make them for that model and reasonably priced too. Not sure if they will have the camo you are looking for though

The gun I have been hunting mostly the last 12(?) years is a 111 in 30-06 with factory camo stock.

I bought it that way.

Don't know if they still make.
I also just got a black 111 in 243 for the GF (she is getting into hunting- hurray).

I haven't seen a factory camo stock on a 11/111 for sale in a while but they used to exist.

I would also recommend considering the reusable cling camo tape.
I use the snow camo version on some of my rifles and it works great. Also protects the scope.

I understand that you don't want to paint your stock, but a <$200. restriction really doesn't leave many options, and Murdoc can do it for you.

For a build of mine I ordered a camo Accustock from Savage through a dealer. I called up Savage and got the part numbers for the recoil lug and stock, gave them to the guy and he got it for me. They might sell directly to you, but I couldn't talk the girl into it. She said dealer only.

They definitely exist. Here's my 111 30-06 in camo. Came that way from the gun shop. Bought it two or three years ago.

Go to savagearms.com and try using their "part finder" by typing in the firearm's serial number. There every part it requires should be listed and orderable. They will deal with individuals, not just dealers. I ordered a camo stock for a .22 from them in June. Stock and shipping cost $130 all in.

If your serial number doesn't work in the part finder, call them directly and explain your situation and they'll get you sorted out. The serial number on my 22 didn't work in the finder and I did just that and they had me set and ready to go no time. The stock took about 3-4 weeks to arrive...granted this was in and around the rotating postal strikes so who knows how long it should have taken.

That is right along the lines I am looking for.

Serial # brings up the correct gun but no parts list. i will try giving them a call.
Great info.

I just called Savage. They said they don't have anything. they said the only camo stock that had was a blind mag and I don't see that as a good upgrade.

Yeah that video was posted I beleive in the Battle rifle section a while ago. Good video and his rifle turned out really well but like I mentioned earlier I don't want to paint it.
