Thinking about one in 22lr. .410 just wondering about quality and opinions of people who have or have used one.

get use to the odd hammer, and your fine. Buddy has one he got from his dad. Took a little getting used to, and then the other was making to use of good ammo. did not like the winchester ammo he first tried, worked best with the CCI he got after.

He doesn't like using it. so more of a safe queen now.

Buy a hammer extension for it and helps out a lot. Mines 22 over 20 gauge I bought it not working from Canadian Tire and had to fix it myself so that it works. The 20 gauge barrel would never fire when it first bought it.

Assuming that you are talking about the Baikal....made for savage number....not the old Model 24's that go for 10X what they originally sold for??

I bought one on sale from Nechako sports last year. Utility fugly gun. Put a Bushnell TRS 25 on it. Would be good for a prepper...or someone who shoots pest birds off crops.

Not particularly accurate....sights horrible...bought a rail to mount the optic at a sponsor....pricey...fits in the rear sight slot.

If the gun interested me...i would rig the hinge to allow takedown. For small game ....my SXS 410 or 28 Franchi get the nod. Not really sure why i bought it. But then " i am just a peckerwood w too many guns"
