There are (OR WERE) several Stevens 200 rifles on the New Brunswick Hunting website for sale for reasonable prices.

I bought a Savage Model 10 on there this summer with a Simmons scope (yuck) for $225.

Unfortunately the first one I checked looks like its another case of new price with no taxes, or there abouts. Eg.

Say what u will about stevens I have one in 25-06 and at 100 yards shooting prone off a harris bipod 3 shots can be covered by a dime. I have shot the 270 243 and 223 in a stevens 200 all very accurate. I'd like to get one in 22 250 and paint it white for coyote hunting. I've held the edges don't like them. They shoot great but plastic tab on the mag that's cheap n not durable. I also have a 300 win mag in the savage 111 and love it. Marlin savage stevens and mossberg all make great low priced guns weatherby vangaurd and smith and wesson also make nice afforable rifles. I'd get a stevens and get a quality base and good weaver rings and a decent scope 3-9-40 or so.

I had a look at one a few weeks ago.....wasnt impressed at all. The gun is just but ugly. Too ugly to even hunt with, where no one will see you.

It may be accurate, but it looks cheap, feels cheap, and is plain hideous to look at.

X2 The edge seems to be a good rifle but i would spend extra on an 11 just cause they feel a lot better and they are proven. its under 100 dollars more. For sure go handle them both before jumping in.

Where can you get an 11 for $450??? Let me know.

I purchased the Edge in .223 and it is a tack driver. Never had a problem and the coyotes absolutely hate it.
