I am tired of waiting for the Remington Sendero that I ordered in March to get here. I am looking at a couple of Savage models now. I am looking at the 7mm. Rem. Mag. in 112BVSS or 110FP. I want to do some hunting as well as long range target shooting. Anyone with experience with these models please fill me in on the pros and cons of each. :)

From a mechanical and accuracy stand point, essentially the same.

The differences are on the outside in their appearance, stock and cost.

Pick the one that fits your tastes and budget.

Personally, I like the looks of the BVSS.

Either one would be a great hunting/target gun. They are both tack drivers out of the box. You won't go wrong with either choice. I agree with Mysticplayer on the BVSS.

Savage 110 Rifles

I have an older (pre-Accutrigger) 110FPL in 308. I replaced the original trigger which was on the heavy side, but the Accutrigger on the newer rifles is much, much better.

These rifles may be a bit long and heavy for hunting - I use mine for target shooting.

The OEM stock is not the greatest but they are easy to replace.

Note the receiver shape changed (I believe when they introduced the Accutrigger) so scope bases and possibly stocks should be selected accordingly.

I am not a Savage expert..
But I can tell you that I bought my 12FV over a Rem 700VLS and put the "extra" saved money into quality mounts and glass. Mine is in .243 and laser beam accurate!
Accutrigger snaps like glass! Only downsides to these rifles are cheap synthetic stocks and you must keep the copper from building in the barrel.
Handle the "BVSS" and fall in love!

I love my BVSS; however It's a little heavy to pack around. Depends on your hunting style, but it's long, heavy, and awkward to be hiking around with. The same can mostly be said of the sendero. I'd actually go 12FVSS - ugly synth stock, but lighter
