Savage Front action screw

I shortened the front action screw on my 10 fple with the Choate stock so that I could put a factory hunting stock on (the bolt was too long). I used the gun all spring/summer and now want to put my Choate stock back on. The bolt isn't long enough to engage the threads. All the gunsmiths around here are either Browning or Remington and no one carries parts for anything else. Where in Canada could I order an original front action screw for the Savage with the Choate stock? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

I had a similar problem. I ordered a screw from Brownells, cost me about $9 to the door but what can ya do? Their website can be confusing, so go to the top-right side of the page and look for schematics, then pick your gun and.. well you get the idea.
