Savage FV-SR 200m results

Impressive. It's definitely a keeper then. You might never own another rimfire that will give you that level of performance at such minimal cost.

My bro in laws BTVS in a Boyds stock shoots better. He uses it for competitive Silhouette and competes with all sorts of "premium" Euro rim-fires.

My BV is reasonably accurate but isn't in the same league as the one you own. At 100 yds. it's simply outclassed by your fine example. Of the (2) heavy barrel rimfires I've owned, neither are exceptionally accurate - especially the FV-SR.

IMHO, it's a completely "Hit or Miss" proposition with Savage rimfires. You seldom here of people complaining about the accuracy of their CZ, though it does happen on occasion.

I know what you mean. I had a BTVS as well about a year ago that was like a shotgun pattern at 100m. Its true of all products these days. I do find that Savage seems to be making the most accurate product for the price. Why dont you sell me your FVSR? Lol.

Trust me when I say it, you wouldn't want it. Nor, would I in good conscious ever sell a rifle to anyone that I knew was defective. It's going back for repair or replacement at one of Savage's service facilities.

If it doesn't get repaired or replaced as per my satisfaction, I may re-barrel it or make video of its destruction and post it on YouTube. They jury is still out on that. ;)

I support all of these ideas, but definetely send it back. I cant find the targets anymore but the FV-SR I just sold printed a couple ragged hole groups @50 yds with Blazer. 1" - 1.5" was typical including the flyers. That was with the factory plastic stock rubbing the barrel. To the OP: That is some damn good shooting, both you and the rifle. Good Work

Curious, why would you sell it? Afterall, it's "tacti-cool" and all the rage today. ;)

That is a beautiful piece, i personally am not a fan of that stock, but still a beautiful piece and you must be doing something right to get that group at that distance. im not even close to ready for that yet. Good shooting :)

^yeah, sort of agree with that sentiment (they look good, just don't like using them). However, that's a nice-looking rig, and some pretty impressive results for 200. I'm currently getting to know a new target rifle, fun to sit an punch paper with a gun that is working like it should. Thanks for sharing.
