Before I go drop couple thousand dollars I thought I would check with the boys on CGN first...

Good / Bad / Ugly ??? Anyone have any experience with his rifle and straight pull system?

Any suggestions on what YOU might get instead of this rifle?

I was looking specifically at the 300 Win Mag Version
 
Go and work the action and I think your choice will quickly change. I handled three different ones and none of them remotely interested me. All of my bolts are soooh much smoother and the difference in speed would be negligible or even faster with the good bolt gun. Its not a Blaser or Fortner action or remotely close but its cheaper but easy to feel why.
 
From what I’ve heard, the straight-pull action feels a bit rough compared to higher-end rifles. It’s also on the heavier side at 8.5 lbs. If you're after something smoother, you might want to look into a Blaser or Fortner.
