Savage in .204 Ruger

Just bought one. How do you all like em? What do the savages like for a bullet.

With it's 1 in 12 rifling it'll prefer light bullets. Mind you, all the bullets the .204 uses are light. 32 and 40 grains being standard. Hornady V-Max bullets should do nicely. There's data on Hodgdon's site.

Stick with 32 grainers. From my own experience, 1:12 isn't enough twist for 40 vmax. Awesome round for varmints and coyotes!

My savage .204 thumbstock loves these with Varget or H4895......

The savage seems to stabilize them very well, but 40 vmax....Well they just dont seem to be liked in the savage.........
