Savage Lee Enfield No 4 Mk 1 stock wood

If you haven’t pulled the trigger on numerich yet then liberty tree collectors sells full original No.4 Mk.1 sets

Liberty will not ship stocks to Canada. Why? Because they "cannot" due to export restrictions - which don't actually exist. They seem to be under the impression that Canada is still under a $100 max order value ITAR setup, versus the actual $500...

For what it's worth, I'd be more inclined to order a reproduction set of wood (which will match, just need finishing and hardware) rather than some beat up old set of questionable quality. The other reason I'd order reproduction, is that with the exchange/shipping/duty that you'll incur, it'll be nearly the same price (if not slightly cheaper) to just get the new wood.

Here is a picture of a sporter stock from a Parker Hale conversion. Further up the fore end is the stamp "SILE", who were the stock makers Parker Hale used. Note how this one would fit on a No. 4 either Mk.I or Mk.II but uses the Mk.II cross bolt.

Liberty Tree won't send the cocking part of a no4 bolt either.
That's why you have to put no4 wood sets together over time.
It's taken me year's to put British Beech sets together with new wood.
It's the only original wood that seems to be available in new condition

I have ordered a few of those no4 mk2 stocks.

Two were pretty good shape. One was unusable. If you want the spare one I have if yours is no good p.m. me. Some of those stocks are very chunky feeling. Oh and one I got had to have the nose cap fitted. It would need some fitting in general.....I started monkeying with it but sold the no4 mk2 it was destined for.
