Savage long action bolt

I have a spare bolt for a long action savage, I bought it from a guy on here who thought it was for a 308 model 10, it was obviously too long so it went in my parts bin for the past year or so.

Well, tonight another guy was posting in a Facebook group I’m in about losing a bolt for his savage 111 30-06, so I messaged him with a picture and he thinks it looks the same. The only thing he was concerned about was if the bolt was for a 30-06 and I have no idea.

Is there any differences between say a bolt for a 270 or 30-06? Any way I can find out if it should work for him?

30/06 and 270 take same bolt face.
Bolt face size should be .470.

If it has a boltface for a 308 it'll be the same for a 30-06.

Also fit 280 Rem, 35 Whelan, 240 Wby Mag, 260 Rem, 7mm-08, 300 Sav, 358 Win, of course thats just face bolt size not short or long action.

Rifle should be checked for headspace if you swap bolts.

It may be obvious but it’s better to make sure I know that.

The bolt face is the correct measurement and it’s the same length as a different/older model 110
