I want to refinish a great part of World War 2 History and I could use some tips!

Looking for any info on how to find some authentic Savage wood furniture for my 1943 Savage Enfield. It has been sporterized :( and the butt stock isnt even the same wood as the cutdown forestock. I would need new retainer clips, rings, upper and lower forestock and buttstock. Rifle itself has minor pitting but I can refinish the metal to an acceptable level and the chamber and bore have tons of life left. Did the old bullet in the end of the barrel test and the bullet had over 3/16th between the casing and the muzzle so I know its not blown out too many rounds. Matching Bolt and Action #'s as well as original Savage Box Mag so its a great contender for a full refinish.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately that seller is missing the larger lower portion of the stock and this is the issue I am running into. I'm also looking for any tips on reconditioning.

Take a look at Sarco Inc.

I asked and they do ship to Canada. They had full sets of No4 Mk1 wood on the site (not sure if they were in stock - I was looking for something else and just skimmed it).

Thanks KenT2 and everyone else! Springfield Sporters has pretty much every savage made replacement part I will need for a full rebuild on this rifle. I am going to call them to get a full parts workup to get this rifle back to showroom quality.
