Savage Mark 2 aftermarket Magazine

It does not matter what it fits, only what it is designed to fit. The savage magazines are designed to fit in the savage firearms, the fact that thy may fit obsolete and out of production firearms is irrelevant.

The mags are designed to fit the Savage 501 Striker. It says so right on the packaging. Whether this prevents the OP from extending his mag, or not... I have no idea. Just reporting a fact.

drawing it up shouldn't hard, how would the extension be secured to the original metal body of the magazine, i dont think an epoxy would work as the pressure from the spring would just tear itself apart.

If you simply joined it along an edge then yeah, it would. But the reason I'm suggesting that you use the 10 rounder is so that it sticks out far enough that you can make the extension so it slips on over the 10 rounder for a good 1/2 inch or so of overlap. That long a joint with proper de-greasing and scuffing up would hold with epoxy as the adhesive as if it were all welded together.

If you make a slip on extension, I would mark on the 10 rnd mag where the stock is flush with the mag then have your extension go to this spot. That way when you insert the extended mag in the gun, it looks like it goes right in the stock ( no ugly step down). Also will give more area to epoxy the extension on or however you decide to attach it. My $.02
