I ended up making my own... But one of the members here sells them on EE

Hardest part was to source the longer action screws.

Western Gun Parts in Edmonton carries the longer action screws, but you will need to tell them the Savage part number to order, which escapes me. The screws are 12-32 thread by 1 inch

Try Kinney Shooting Supply, they have them and will ship to Canada. If they don't simply ask them to order what you need, they usually will. They carry an extensive DIP line of products.

whats weird is i used the same screws as before and they seemed to be long enough, this is my first time installing a stock so my reciever could possibly not be in all the way even though the screws are tight. the only thing i need is the metal trigger guard.. ill take some pictures and if anyone whos installed aftermarket stock can inspect it and see if theres anything off it would be appreciated.

If the factory action screw where from a wood stock they will be long enough for the aftermarket stock but if the stock action screws where from a plastic crap stock they will be to short.

i had the mark 2 GL so that would be a wooden monte carlo stock :). i think will order the metal trigger guard from kinney and see how it goes.

contact r204...he'll hook you up and you're supporting a small business! I got one, and it is what Savage should have put on the rifle, but the damn bean counters had something to say about that. Otherwise, a fantastic rifle!!

Kinney's did me a solid by getting me 93G trigger guard and bottom metal that they didn't have in stock from DIP. Much better then the stock plastic and tin....
Good guy there, I'd deal with him again.
Couple pics, I added that washer in the middle, no idea why they would put an action screw that secures straight to the wood....
