Hello,
Looking for my first gun for plinking and potentially some vermin. I want to start with a .22LR bolt around $400.
Cabelas has the B-Series on sale for $370 including a scope. Or is it better to buy a basic Mark 2 on sale at Canadian Tire for $295 and putting on an after market scope on it?
If the Mark 2 is a better option, is the Mark 2 FV worth over the Mark 2 F?
What are your recommendations?
I also heard the Savage A22 mags work in the B22, is that true?
Thanks.

You'd be getting a better rifle for a bit less, and the scope that comes in the pkg isn't worth much . . . you can choose a better one that suits your planned use. I'd suggest spending at least $200 and maybe more if you really want to plan ahead. My Cabelas scope was on sale at $450. I'm Not going into competitions.
