Im looking to purchase the BV. I know the FV with the plastic stock you need a cheek peice too line up properly with a scope, how does the BV line up without one? Is one required?

Thanks in advace

My Savage Mk II BV was excellent with scope. If you use a centre fire rifle scope, such as a Bushnell Dusk & Dawn, you may need medium rise rings to accommodate the bell. When I realized the Mk II was an accurate rifle I switched to double peeps and use it as my target rifle. One thing to remember is that if you take the rifle out of the stock is to be sure you fully tighten the action bolts when you put the rifle back together. It can make a real difference.

I had a 2-7x35 diamond back in low rings on mine and it was fine. It now has a 3-9x40 viper in medium rings and it’s fine as well. It’s probably going to be for sale soon though, I have too many .22s haha
