Any thoughts or experience with the FVT? Looking into buying one for my son. I like the fact that it has Williams aperture sights, but it seems heavy due to the bull barrel and lightweight polymer stock.
Appreciate any comments before I pull the trigger on it.

Thanks

I had one a couple years back ( non accu - trigger version ) .it was by all means a tack driver with good ammo . I did find it to be a bit barrel heavy so I added some weight to the rear stock .the peep sights were Williams and of decent quality . I ended up selling it to a friend of mine who was having a squirrel problem he thinks it is the greatest rifle ever . as you can remove the peeps add a set of weaver mounts and scope it . have thought about buying an other many times as it was a very fun rifle to shoot with the peeps .

Thanks for the reply,
I wanted it for the peep sights, by the time I have peeps installed on my BRNO, it would cost way more than what this rifle costs.
How did you do add weight to the rear of the stock? The version I am looking at is accu-triggered.
Thanks.

I have one for my son and we just bought six of them for our rifle club. I think they are great value for the money.

Good luck.

I owned one for a while and it was a really nice rifle, the only drawbacks if any are the light stock and awkward drop in the comb that makes a poor cheek weld. I fixed that by epoxying a bunch of lead wheel weights inside the butt and making a homemade cheek riser. Very accurate.

Where did you get the BRNO sights from? CZ USA will not ship to Canada, my LGS said they cannot find them. Which Boyds stock did you use?
Thanks,
Brno sights aren't that exspensive! I just put a set on my CZ and Brno 4.

I had the Mark II FVT and put it in a Boyds stock and it was a great rifle and deadly accurate.

Thanks for the ideas,

Thanks,

I two different Boyds stocks, rimfire hunter and a RVT. Brno aperture sights are available from a guy called Denny at Rimfire Central. Last set I got was under $200.

Thanks for the info,
I bought the FVT and tried it at the range, awesome little rifle. Now to see what to do with the stock...
I have been in touch with Denny for some other stuff, totally forgot about contacting him regarding the sights, thanks for the reminder!!
