Hi all - I'd appreciate your advice on how to clean magazines for the Savage Mark II. I've had issues with the follower dragging lately. Any tips out there?
Has the Mag been dropped? Have you got dirt in it? If it was simply carbon/lead build up I'd spray it with borebrite. However if it's sticking like I think. The mag may be bent.

the boittom of the mag does come off and you can stretch the spring to give more pressure. you have to lift the lip of the bottom so the small bump clears the side and it slides off. simply rebend the bottom when reinstalling it. this way you can clean the follower too.
I brass brush the empty mag with my 410 guage shotgun brush to clean it.

I pried it apart as per toymaker's instructions. That is not a great design, in terms of disassembly! I guess that's why they're relatively cheap to replace...
