Savage mark ii scope mounting

So I was gifted a savage mark ii a few years back. I am getting around to putting a scope on it finally and can’t figure out what scope rings to use. Does not have holes for a weaver type rail. Just had two slots with parallel lines. I have a scope for it, just no way to mount it

Anyone know of mounts that can go with this?

You want Weaver style rings. The parallel grooves are the rail. Should have tension screws that fit in recoil slots.

Are the grooves about 3/8" apart?

Just look for rings to fit that spacing

I think the MkII is a 11mm grove spacing.
