Savage mk-11-norinco primer light hit?

Bought a savage mk-11 in .223 hoping to shoot some cheap center fire rounds and I find I am getting a lot of light primer hits or dud rounds (10-15%). Another else getting this?

Very common, several threads about it if you look back.

Norinco (and Barnaul) 223 and 308 have NATO spec primers; thicker and harder cups. Light striking firing pins in civilian rifles sometimes don't set them off. You can buy an aftermarket spring for your bolt made by Wolf from several retailers (I believe Canada Ammo stocks them for many rifles).

Every single Norc or Barnaul "dud" I have been given by people fired first time in my Norc M305 before I sold it. It isn't the rounds, it's your rifle.

I posted the question on the savage board will see if I get any responses there. I found Wolff springs in 32 and 36 lbs. just not sure if my bolt is the same as the 110 model savage. Says stock is 28lbs spring
