Savage Mk II parts ?

I looked into this a while back & found no options. Although it seems some guys have milled off the little bolt handle & threaded it. Then I guess the world opens up for knob options(knoptions?). Not a bad solution if you have access to a lathe.
 
They do seem to be a common 5/16x24 thread, but after you factor in the cost of machining and a new bolt handle, you're probably into FV-SR pricing. There's a used one in NB on the EE for $325.

I got one for my 93FV (.22WMR) years ago, I happened to be near Grech Outdoors (Savage warranty service shop) and asked John, the owner. He had one, and installed it in no time. I don't remember what he charged, but I remember thinking it was very fair at the time.
 
The EE amazes me, they’re $349 new in NB!

Have a die set, threading a shaft is not an issue and bolt knobs are cheap enough. It’s turning the bolt knob down that’s the pita.
